The
Priority
Schools Programs Guidelines 2009 is available to support
Priority Schools in 2009. The guidelines outline the
support provided to Priority Schools and the
responsibilities of schools. The guidelines include
information about the identification of Priority Schools,
the purpose of the program resources, school planning,
management of resources and accountability and reporting
requirements.

The resource, Building professional learning communities: a resource to support professional learning in Priority Schools, reflects the findings of the Aligning Quality Teaching and Assessment project. It features teachers and consultants reporting on school projects and the strengths of the action learning model in implementing positive professional learning in the school community.

The induction toolkit and Priority Schools Programs guidelines 2009 have been developed to support Priority School communities to further understand and respond to the educational implications of high densities of families from low socio-economic status backgrounds.
The professional learning materials should be used with the whole school community.
